Open Source Notices

Sylume itself is not open source. These notices cover the open source software it ships. The same notices are available in the app under Settings, About, Legal notices.

FFmpeg

Sylume uses audio decoding libraries from the FFmpeg project, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.1 or later. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project. The libraries are built from the FFmpeg 6.0 release branch and are used unmodified; only build configuration selects which decoders are included.

Source offer. The complete corresponding source code and the exact build configuration used are available on request from [email protected], for no more than the cost of distribution. This offer is valid for at least three years from your receipt of the software.

Your rights. The LGPL gives you rights that Sylume's Terms of Use do not limit, including the right to modify the LGPL licensed libraries for your own use and to reverse engineer to debug such modifications. The full licence text ships inside the app and is also available from the Free Software Foundation.
